The United Nations Conference to Fight Desertification (UNCCD) has warned that almost a million sq. kilometers of productive land are misplaced every year to sand and dirt storms made worse by human actions. The storms, which launch round 2 billion tonnes of sand and dirt into the ambiance every year, trigger financial injury and have far-reaching penalties for meals provides, migration, navigation and safety.
